Why Specialty Yarn Needs a Fuller Specification Than Standard DTY

A standard DTY order can often be confirmed from denier, filament count and luster alone. With Specialty Polyester Yarn, extra variables decide whether the fabric works: cross-section (round or special-shaped) and denier for monofilament, core and effect construction for chenille and imitation yarns, and the color route, whether natural, dope-dyed or to be dyed later. Sending these details together with the target fabric and machine type gives the supplier enough to confirm the correct item without back-and-forth.

Specialty yarns show their character in the finished fabric, so a spec sheet alone rarely settles the decision.
